Real Player:
This is the ONLY player for our RealAudio & RealVideo items.

During installation, be sure to chose "Custom Installation" so that you can make sure that Real Player associates only with it's own three media types: .RAM .RM .RA And When you get near the end of your installation you'll see a message that will ask you "Would you like Real Player to be your default player for media?" Select NO.

Depending on the year, this program could be called: "RealOne Player" (the latest), "RealAudio Player" "RealPlayer G2" and "RealPlayer Plus"

WindowsMedia Player

Use this for our WindowsMedia items. (It is NOT capable of playing RealAudio).

This is an excellent streaming media player. It would be well worth downloading the latest version for best sound quality and performance.

WindowsMedia file types: .AVI .MPE .MPEG .WMV .ASF .ASX

Quicktime Player:
This is not recommended for our uses since it does not play either of our formats.

QuickTime has fans among streaming media professionals for some of it's outstanding qualities. Quicktime format is selected most often to show high quality movies on web sites and CDs. Also makes a good MP3 player.

Files with a .MOV file extension are designed for Quicktime. WindowsMedia Player will try unsuccessfully to play these files if Quicktime is not installed.

Yahoo Player

WindowsMedia Player must be installed for this to work so you might as well stick with WindowsMedia Player - it's much better anyway!
